DENVER (KDVR) — Witnesses are testifying on the third day of the murder trial of James Craig, the Aurora dentist accused of poisoning his wife.
Craig is on trial for allegedly using cyanide and tetrahydrozoline in protein shakes to kill his wife of 23 years, Angela Craig, in 2023. Craig pleaded not guilty to first-degree murder and several other charges, including solicitation to commit murder and solicitation to commit perjury.

The trial started on Tuesday with opening statements. The prosecution claimed that Craig allegedly poisoned his wife after financial issues and affairs. However, the defense argued that money problems and marriage issues aren't a motive, and the case is based on "speculation and assumption."
