Google announces Pixel 10 launch event will take place on August 20th this year

Google has officially announced that its highly anticipated Pixel 10 launch event will occur on August 20, 2025, in New York City at 1 PM ET . This event marks a significant moment for the tech giant as it showcases not only the latest iteration of its smartphone lineup but also new wearable technology. The Pixel 10 series is expected to include several models, such as the Pixel 10 Pro and a potentially innovative dustproof Pixel 10 Pro Fold .

Google is going to host host its next Made by Google event on August 20, the company announced today. In a media invite, it promised the event would feature new Pixel phones, watches, buds "and more." It's hard to imagine what other product types might be covered by those last two words, but for those who watch the industry closely, this event is likely to see the launch of the Pixel 10 flagship phones, along with a Pixel Watch 4 and new Pixel Buds.

During the event, Google is expected to take the wraps off its new Pixel smartphone lineup, including the base Pixel 10, which is rumored to come with three cameras instead of two, along with an upgraded Pixel 10 Pro, and Pixel 10 Pro XL. Google may also reveal a completely dustproof Pixel 10 Pro Fold.

As for its other devices, rumors suggest that Google’s Pixel Watch 4 could come with a larger battery and a slightly thicker profile. There haven’t been as many details leaked about Google’s plans for its Pixel Buds, but some reports claim the company is getting ready to launch another pair of budget-friendly Pixel Buds 2a.

This event is back in New York City after going to Mountain View, California last year. The invite announcement comes exactly five weeks before the event.

The Made by Google 2025 keynote will start at 10 a.m. PT / 1 p.m. ET. It’s a week later than last year, and will be livestreamed on YouTube. Officially, Google is teasing the latest on “Pixel phones, watches, buds, and more.”

This year's event underscores Google's strategic direction in an increasingly competitive market. By livestreaming the keynote on platforms like YouTube, Google seeks to engage a broader audience while reinforcing its brand presence in both hardware and software innovations . As anticipation builds for August's unveiling, industry analysts and consumers alike are eager to see how these advancements will redefine user interaction with technology.
