The Voice season 17 contestant Gracee Shriver wed her longtime boyfriend, Keaton Ranallo, in their hometown of Owasso, Oklahoma, in a “boujee boot country” ceremony.
“I’ve been used to ‘pre-show’ jitters my whole life, but that morning was a different kind of feeling. The kind of nervous excitement that makes you feel on top of the world,” Shriver exclusively told Us Weekly. “I couldn’t wait to marry my best friend. I know with him, that feeling won’t ever fade.”
Back in 2019, Shriver, now 22, placed in the top 16 on the hit reality singing competition at just 16 years old. The Oklahoma native sang “Rainbow” by Kacey Musgraves during the blind auditions, where then-coaches Gwen Stefani and Kelly Clarkson fought for her to join their teams. Shriver chose Clarkson, but was eventually stolen by coach Blake Shelton later in the season.
Shriver and Ranallo began dating in high school, and she told Us he believed in her talent from the beginning.
Sydney Breland“Every Friday night our ‘date night’ was him watching me at the local BBQ joint while I played my set,” Shriver said.
After high school, the couple were long-distance while Shriver attended Belmont University in Tennessee (and went on tour) while Ranallo played college baseball in a different state. She told Us they would “FaceTime before I hit the stage each night.” Ranallo eventually joined Shriver in Tennessee.
Sydney Breland“I knew Keaton was the one when he picked up everything and moved across the country for me to chase my dream,” Shriver said. “He left everything he knew without hesitation, and is my biggest encourager.”
At the ceremony, Shriver wore a handmade gown from Eva Lendel paired with studded boots. Shriver and Ranallo wrote their own vows.
Sydney Breland“I had actually found a list of qualities I had written down at nine years old that I hoped to find in a husband one day,” Shriver told Us. “I put that in my vows, which gave everyone a laugh as they started off with ‘tall, brown hair, and muscles.’ I guess nine year old me had priorities,” she joked.
Sydney BrelandSince leaving The Voice, the country music singer has continued to play gigs throughout the country and release new music.
Shriver’s newest single, “Rich,” is largely “inspired by her hardworking parents.” The song will be released on Friday, July 11, and available for streaming on all platforms.
