Law enforcement authorities took into custody a motorcyclist who was caught driving 120 mph on C-470 in Jefferson County over the holiday weekend as part of a campaign by officials to target reckless motorcycle driving behavior.
Colorado State Patrol partnered with the Jefferson County Sheriff’s Office to conduct a joint traffic enforcement operation on Saturday that made contact with 45 vehicles, including 25 motorcycles. With the assistance of the Colorado State Patrol Aircraft Unit, 11 drivers were cited for driving 20 mph or more over the posted speed limit.
Thirteen out of the 45 vehicles did not have license plates. Three drivers were pulled over due to reckless driving, authorities said.
