Beyond the Gates continues to celebrate homecoming this Monday, and Ernestine Johnson Morrison has taken to social media to share a behind-the-scenes look and tease what’s to come for her character, nurse Shanice Johnson.
Morrison posted a photo of herself in Banneker University regalia in the living room of Vernon (Clifton Davis) and Anita (Tamra Tunie)’s. The actress captioned the post, “BU!!! [Banneker University] S/O [Shout Out] to our amazing writers and crew for paying homage to HBCU’s! ??”
The actress went on to share, “Shanice made her way to The Dupree Living Room again, and the folks have something to say about it ?.”
Shanice is currently in a relationship with Ted Richardson (Keith D. Robinson), who is the estranged ex-husband of Nicole Dupree (Daphnée Duplaix). While Shanice and Nicole have discussed their relationship with Ted, there remains tension amongst the trio as feelings become involved.
Spoilers teased by TVInsider’s SWOON revealed that Ted and Shanice will plan their next steps as a couple. What exactly this means has yet to be revealed; could the pair be moving in together? Or are wedding bells in their near future? Viewers will have to stay tuned to see how their relationship plays out.
