A U.S. Marine stationed at Camp Pendleton in San Diego is facing charges in Arapahoe County of sexually exploiting children on the social media app Snapchat.
Justin Ryder Simmons, 19, was arrested at Camp Pendleton on June 16 and extradited to Arapahoe County 11 days later, where he was booked into the county’s detention facility on a $25,000 bond, authorities said in a post on X this week. Simmons is facing numerous charges of sexual exploitation of a child and possession of child sexual abuse material.

Simmons was using the Snapchat username “simmonsj6842” and phone number 970-308-5998 to contact victims, according to the Internet Crimes Against Children Unit.
