It’s been eight years since The Killers and Violent Femmes had a major surprise for Milwaukee concert goers. The Killers were playing at Fiserv Forum in 2018 when they suddenly took a trip down memory lane with the audience.
According to TMJ4 News in Milwaukee, The Killers surprised the crowd by bringing out the legendary rock band Violent Femmes to perform with them. Violent Femmes are from Milwaukee, so it was an extra special treat for fans.

The guys then gave the audience something to talk about by covering the theme song to the iconic sitcom Laverne & Shirley. Now, footage from the concert surprise has been making the rounds on social media.
One X post got the ball rolling, sharing a clip from the concert the other day, writing, “@thekillers and @violentfemmes perform the theme song from #LaverneAndShirley. In Milwaukee. ?@MJMcKean.” The social media post was reshared by a fan who kept the caption simple, writing, “Holy s—t.”

Another fan expressed, “As a little kid who LIVED for Tuesday nights on ABC in the ‘70’s and ‘80’s, and LOVES The Killers (and shout out to the VFs, of course), I can’t describe how much I’m loving this right now ♥️♥️♥️♥️♥️♥️♥️♥️♥️.”

In the footage, concertgoers can be heard screaming as the Violent Femmes join The Killers on stage. They sang the theme song to end the concert in a nostalgic moment.
“I take comfort in this existing," wrote one fan after watching the video. Several other fan comments read, “RIP Cindy Williams ?” and “RIP Penny Marshall” to honor the legendary ladies who brought Laverne & Shirley into our homes for eight seasons.
