Bhubaneswar: The 35th Dashboard Review Meeting of the Housing & Urban Development Department was chaired today by Usha Padhee, Principal Secretary, H&UD Department, Government of Odisha. The meeting focused on accelerating progress across core urban development initiatives, with a strong emphasis on citizen-centric governance.
A major highlight of the review was the Integrated Command and Control Centre (ICCC), which is being positioned as the nerve centre for grievance redressal, real-time urban monitoring, and seamless coordination across departments. Padhee underlined the need to further streamline the functioning of the ICCC to enhance its responsiveness to citizen needs.
The meeting also reviewed budget utilisation under various urban schemes, urging officials to expedite fund deployment to ensure timely implementation and service delivery. Enhanced focus was laid on urban sanitation, water supply, solid waste management, and digital service delivery.
Insights and feedback from recent field visits were presented and discussed, helping identify on-ground challenges and potential areas of improvement. The Principal Secretary encouraged ULB functionaries to adopt innovative practices, strengthen inter-agency coordination, and uphold accountability at all levels.
Usha Padhee reiterated the Department’s commitment to empowered cities and resilient urban systems, calling upon all stakeholders to work in alignment with the vision of “Viksit Odisha @2036.”
