Angel Reese makes her feelings towards Caitlin Clark clear after refusing to comment on new tell-all book

CAITLIN CLARK’S rival Angel Reese appeared to make her feelings clear about her with her reaction to a new book.

Reese was asked by author Christine Brennan add her thoughts on Clark for the book ‘On Her Game: Caitlin Clark and the Revolution in Women’s Sports’.

However, Reese is said to have declined to comment on multiple occasions.

Brennan wrote: “Through a spokeswoman, Reese declined several requests to comment for this book.”

Chapter ten of the book was even titled ‘Hip Check’ after an incident involving the two players back in 2024.

Then, Reese’s former Sky teammate Chennedy Carter gave Clark a brutal hip check which knocked her flying when the ball wasn’t even in play.

As the cameras panned to the bench, Reese could be seen standing up and applauding Carter, suggesting she approved of the roughhouse tactics.

Brennan wrote of Clark‘s reaction after the match: “Over in the Fever press conference, Clark showed up as usual and answered questions about the incident.”

Clark was quoted as saying, “Yeah, I wasn’t expecting it.

“But I think it’s just, like, just respond, calm down, let your play do the talking.

“It is what it is. It’s a physical game, go make the free throw and then execute on offense, and I feel like that’s what we did.”

In contrast, Carter refused to answer any questions on the Clark incident while Reese skipped out of the press conference altogether.

Reese was then fined $1000 for refusing to attend.

Brennan noted that WNBA rules state that every healthy player is required to be made available if they are requested by a credentialed member of the media.

Reese and Clark’s rivalry started back in their college days before transferring to the WNBA.

Reese led the LSU Tigers to their championship in program history when they beat Clark’s Iowa side.

And she then famously performed John Cena’s ‘You Can’t See Me’ gesture in Clark’s face.

Clark has missed the Indiana Fever’s last five WNBA games with a groin injury.

But she is expected to return tonight.

She said: “I think its just nice to get back out there and get in the flow of playing with my teammates again.

“And it’s going to be fun to get back out there hopefully and just feel things again.

“I don’t know what type of minutes I’m going to get, what they’ll look like, but just when I’m out there, compete, play hard.

“This is going to be a team that’s moving constantly, so just being aware and active, bring energy.

“It’s obviously hard sitting out and watching for a few weeks, so I’m excited to get back out there.’

“I hope to pay a decent amount, maybe upper 20s, depends how I feel and how the game goes and what they team needs as well.

“I feel pretty good, but going to try not to overdo it as well and put myself in a good position moving forward.”
