Noise cancelling is a necessity for me in earbuds these days. I live in New York, I love listening to podcasts while I commute, and without noise cancelling, I just cannot hear my content over the sounds of the train. To me, it should be a basic feature by now, but it's usually reserved for more premium models. Luckily, with Prime Day, you can now get noise cancelling for much cheaper.
Nothing Ear Wireless Earbuds with ChatGPT Integration $99.00 $159.00 Save $60.00 Get Deal Get Deal $99.00 $159.00 Save $60.00Case in point: Nothing's earbuds. Nothing is primarily known as a trendy phone company behind a truly unusual looking phone, but for my money, its most appealing products are its earbuds. Available across a number of price points, even the most expensive model is pretty affordable in comparison to other earbuds, and all except for the open back ones (where it wouldn't work) have noise cancelling. Even better, with Prime Day sales, there are options for you that are cheaper than a mid-tier New York meal:
Nothing CMF Buds 2a are $28 (down from $49)
Nothing CMF Buds Pro 2 are $47 (down from $69)
Nothing Ear (a) wireless earbuds are $69 (down from $109)
Nothing Ear wireless earbuds are $99 (down from $159)
Take the Nothing CMF Buds 2a: Currently $28, these are the most typical-looking Nothing earbuds (the company's penchant for style is easier to see on the other models), and have active noise cancelling with 4 mics, plus a 12.4mm driver and batteries rated for 8 hours of playback. Upgrading to the CMF Buds Pro 2 ($47 for all colors except black) will give you slightly higher quality noise cancelling, plus 6 mics and two drivers (11mm and 6mm). Overall, this should make for a clearer experience.
Then there's the Ear series: The flagship here, and the overall best Nothing earbuds, are the Nothing Ear wireless earbuds ($99). These are what I have, and the experience is shockingly similar to that of my AirPods Pro. The battery is supposed to last a generous 40.5 hours (taking the case into account), plus you get 24-bit hi-res audio, a dynamic equalizer, and 6-mic noise cancellation. The Ear (a) is a budget version of this, with slightly weaker drivers and no dynamic equalizer but about two hours of additional battery life. Not bad for $69.
Regardless of which model you pick, though, you're likely to get a big improvement over any earbuds that don't have noise cancelling. I always thought Nothing's name was a bit silly, but maybe it makes sense—you'll hear nothing but your music.
