Carlos Alcaraz has perfect five-word response to fan as he brutally ends British dream at Wimbledon

There’s no time for Carlos Alcaraz to party, at least not yet.

The Spaniard booked his spot in the Wimbledon semi-finals for a third consecutive year thanks to a 6-2, 6-3, 6-3 win over British star Cameron Norrie on Tuesday.

Norrie‘s exit unfortunately meant there are no Brits left in the men’s or women’s singles draw.

As for Alcaraz, he will become the third-youngest player in the Open Era to feature in three-straight men’s singles semi finals at Wimbledon, with Rafael Nadal and Bjorn Borg the only others to have accomplished the feat at a younger age.

Alcaraz’s attention now shifts towards a semi-final clash against No. 5 seed Taylor Fritz, who he has never lost to.

Their contest will take place on Thursday, meaning Alcaraz has a day to rest and recuperate ahead of what promises to be a thrilling duel between the two.

So, how will the 22-year-old unwind?

Midway through Alcaraz’s answer during his on-court interview, a member of the crowd yelled ‘Ibiza’.

The cheeky heckle earned a laugh from Alcaraz, although he was quick to shut down any talk of a fleeting getaway to the Spanish party island.

“No time, there’s no time,” Alcaraz replied.

He continued: “I’m just going to try and make the most of my time just to enjoy with my team and my family.

“I for sure am going to play golf, just to switch off my mind a little bit.

“What it is I’m doing is working , so I have to keep doing it. I will try to play some golf.”

Perhaps Alcaraz will book in a trip to Ibiza once his run at SW19 is complete given he has enjoyed multiple visits before.

He chose to spend a three-day holiday there after he lost to Novak Djokovic in the semi-finals of the 2023 French Open.

Speaking on a Netflix documentary centred around him, Alcaraz revealed the purpose of that specific trip was ‘basically to just get wasted’.

It evidently worked a charm that year as he went on to win at Queen’s and Wimbledon in the following weeks.

Alcaraz returned to Ibiza after he ousted Jannik Sinner in an all-time thriller at this year’s French Open.

However, it was a far tamer affair than what unfolded in 2023 as Alcaraz revealed it only got as wild as a ‘few shots’.

Alcaraz’s visits to Ibiza prompted former Wimbledon finalist Nick Kyrgios to boldly declare Sinner will have a better career than him because he ‘likes girls’ and ‘might party too much’.

It was a claim Alcaraz swiftly rebuked, although he admitted it was ‘no secret’ Sinner ‘has fewer ups and downs’ than him.

Alcaraz also pointed out his supposed volatility ‘has nothing to do with the nightlife world’.

Despite Alcaraz’s denials, Kyrgios believed the Spanish superstar ‘knows deep down’ he enjoys the extras that comes with the territory of being one of the best in the world.

“See, Alcaraz knows deep down he does like a bit of partying, does like some girls. That’s his personality,” Kyrgios said.

“But look, he does a great job at finding that balance, maybe where I didn’t find the balance earlier on in my career. He’s a great character and a great personality.”
