New to Prime Day? We have a primer on everything you need to know. Sales are accurate at the time of publication, but prices and inventory are always subject to change.
Maybe you’re retiring your old Vitamix, or you’ve spent years wrestling with the idea of splurging on one of them. I get it: The usual price is high enough to make you question what you’re getting into, regardless of the rave reviews. But right now, nearly every model of the Vitamix blender is on sale for Amazon Prime Day, making your decision at least a little easier. If you’ve been on the fence, it's time to jump over it already.
The Vitamix brand has three major categories, from the more affordable and simple to the more expensive and feature-loaded. They are the entry-level Explorian, the mid-range Propel, and the top-of-the-line Ascent models, respectively. Separate from those, there’s the Legacy 5200. This tall and slim blender is an older design but has developed a serious and dedicated user base.
Every model category has a sale going on right now, so the question is: Which Vitamix is right for you?

The Explorian is like the Vitamix entry-level blender, but don't take that to mean it's a lightweight—it’s super powerful, but the price is the brand's most approachable. This model line also gives you more freedom with manual operation, so in a way, you have more control over your blend. I ran the Explorian E310 through a number of tests, and you can read my full review here. This model is on sale for $329.95 (down from $379.95). You can save a ton of money with this one—sure, it lacks preset modes, putting you in charge of changing the speeds and turning it off after the mixture blends, but I think you can handle it.
The Propel
The Propel 510
The Propel 750
The Propel series is the next level up in terms of power and presets. It usually has a slightly steeper price tag, but right now it’s not far off from the Explorian price. The Propel line has a 2.2 horsepower engine, which also makes it just as powerful as the next level up. The Propel 510 has the same speed ramping function with three presets, and the Propel 750 has all of the same capabilities with a total of five presets, including the nut butter and cleaning preset. Personally I love my Vitamix because of those two presets specifically, so I would suggest the Propel 750 if it’s in your budget; it's 40% off at $379.95 (down from $629.95).
But again, you don’t need those two extra presets at all. They just mean you can walk away from the machine and come back later. Minus that, they have the same capabilities. From a savings standpoint, the Propel 510 is the smarter buy at $299.95 (40% off of $499.95).
The Ascent X2
The Ascent X3
The Ascent X4
The Ascent X5
The Ascent Series is the newest, most tricked-out line of Vitamix blenders, with a sleek base and attractive digital control panel. The models all have the usual pulse mode and 10-speed levels, but differ by amount of included presets: The X2 has switches and three presets, the X3 has touch buttons and three presets, the X4 has five included presets, and the Ascent X5 has 10 preset functions. These models are all on sale—you can save $50 or so, whichever you choose—but only one is notably discounted: The Ascent X3 is 31% off for $449.95 (the regular retail price is $649.95). While the Ascent X4 and X5 are excellent (read my Ascent X5 review here), the Vitamix Ascent X3 is the best bargain right now. Save yourself the money.
The Vitamix Legacy 5200
Vitamix 5200 Professional Grade Blender
This blender is tall and slender with a large capacity 64-ounce container. It’s one of their most-loved models because the shape and power are most similar to restaurant industry-level blenders. This model is 30% off right now at $349.95 (down from the usual $499.95). It doesn’t have any presets but it does have 2 horsepower and a seven-year warranty that you can rely on.
