COSTCO shoppers are raving over a new dessert for $18.99 that’s gone viral online.
The sweet treat offers three layers of vanilla, and fans can’t get enough of the “cake of the summer“.
On social media, one mom called Jacquelyne Devine reacted to the new Costco peaches and Cream Bar Cake.
The new treat is three layers of vanilla cake, each packed with peach compote and whipped cream.
It arrived in Costco warehouses last month, with white chocolate curls and peach glaze layered on top of the cake.
The Pennsylvania-based mom reacted to the cake on her TikTok, calling it “very refreshing” and a “good summer time dessert”.
Jacquelyne later spoke to Fox News about her reaction to the sweet treat.
She commented: “It’s sweet, refreshing and such a great value at $18.99.
“It feels fancy enough to bring to a party, but also easy enough to polish off at home.
“[We] are huge peach fans and we devoured it.”
‘NOT TOO SWEET’
On Reddit, several fans also reacted to the dessert, praising its “tang” and dubbing it “not too sweet”.
One comment on Costco thread said: “It’s good! Tasted like canned peaches, not peach candy flavor, which I appreciated.
“Also, the frosting felt and tasted like whipped cream, not too sweet!”
Another wrote: “The peaches [ingredient] has a nice tang.
“Not too sweet. Reminds me of an Asian-style cake, but has a denser sponge.
“Sweet and tart and great for the summer.”

And a third said: “It’s got the perfect balance of cake, whipped icing & peach compote.
“I was apprehensive the peach part would taste fake, but it’s perfectly captured the sweet tang of stone fruit.”
There was some criticism of the cake, however, with one person critiquing the quality.
The comment explained: “The whipped cream filling tasted a bit artificial.
“The white chocolate shavings taste like old Easter ‘chocolate.’
“The cake itself was fine and light, but might benefit from a soak of some kind.”
