Team India opener KL Rahul was left surprised as he faced a brilliant delivery from England pacer Josh Tongue during the second innings of the ongoing Test match. Tongue bowled a peach of a delivery to send Rahul packing in the first session of Day 4 (Saturday, July 5) at Edgbaston, Birmingham
England bowlers Chris Woakes and Brydon Carse started the day with the ball. The home team used the overcast cover and the fourth day's pitch. India lost Karun Nair's wicket in the first hour of play. The right-handed batter perished after scoring 26 runs off 46 balls, leaving India at 96/2 in 21 overs.

The incident took place in the 30th over of India’s second innings. Josh Tongue angled a full delivery into the stumps, and Rahul attempted a drive. However, he failed to get his front foot far enough forward, allowing the ball to nip away just enough to beat the bat and uproot the middle stump.
Rahul had to depart to the dressing room after scoring 55 runs off 84 balls with the help of 10 boundaries. India are still in a dominant position despite losing two early wickets. The visiting team lost three wickets for 126 runs with a lead of over 300 runs.
