The long-standing legal feud between Indian cricketer Mohammed Shami and his ex-wife Hasin Jahan has taken yet another explosive yet ugly turn. In a fiery Instagram post on July 4, Hasin Jahan launched fresh allegations against Mohammed Shami after the latest hearing.
She accused the Indian cricket team fast bowler of paying off criminals to harm, defame, and mentally torment her over the past seven years. In her latest outburst, the former model called Shami characterless, greedy, and cold-hearted.
Shami’s ex-wife has further accused him of choosing a life filled with dishonor and distractions instead of prioritizing his daughter’s future and his responsibilities as a father. Her latest outburst comes just days after the Calcutta High Court directed Shami to pay ₹4 lakh per month in financial support in the ongoing divorce proceedings.

Hasin Jahan said in her long Instagram post, “Till my last breath, we will have a strong relationship, Inshallah. The only thing left is for you to decide what kind of strong relationship that will be. For 7 years, we’ve been involved in a legal battle.
What have you gained from it? Because of being characterless, greedy, and mean-minded, you ended up destroying your own family. How many criminals did you bribe to harm me, defame me, harass me, and defeat me everywhere? Did you achieve anything?”

Jahan and Shami separated back in 2018 after a high-profile fallout that began with allegations of domestic abuse and cheating. Meanwhile, in her post, Jahan reflected on the years of struggle, claiming that Shami wasted money on the wrong people while abandoning his own family.
She added, “The money you wasted on crooks and prostitutes—if you had spent that on your daughter’s education, life, and future, and given me a good life, things would’ve been so much better. You would’ve been saved from sin, and we could’ve lived a respectful and dignified life.”

Meanwhile, Hasin Jahan said that Mohammed Shami took advantage of a male-dominated society and stayed silent while she was blamed by others.
She vowed to take the legal route to fight for her and her daughter’s rights. Jahan warned Shami that those supporting him now are only encouraging his wrongdoings, and when things turn against him, they will leave him alone.
She signed off by saying, “Now I will take the help of the law, claim all our rights, and live happily, Inshallah. Now you think: which support is stronger—social or legal? But remember: all the antisocial people giving you moral support right now are supporting your sins. The day your bad time begins, these same people will make your life hell, Inshallah. Have faith in that.”

Notably, Shami was part of India’s ICC Champions Trophy 2025 triumph earlier this year. However, the seasoned fast bowler was not picked for the ongoing five-match Test series in England due to his fitness concerns.
India led by new captain Shubman Gill, already lost the first Test on the England tour, and they are currently aiming to level the Anderson-Tendulkar Trophy by winning the second Test at Edgbaston.
