GREECE, N.Y. — Multiple fire departments battled a garage fire in Greece on Friday, stopping it from spreading to the home.
Officials say no one was hurt in the fire on Berkshire Drive near Elmgrove Road. The Ridge Road, Gates, and North Greece fire districts worked together to put out the flames in 20 minutes.
“Crews were here in a timely manner and did a really good job putting the fire out,” said Brian Gebo, battalion chief of the Ridge Road Fire District. “Great interoperability, great teamwork between Ridge Road, North Greece, and Gates to come together.”
A total of five engines responded. Crews are still working to determine the cause.
