The 28-year-old India National Cricket Team pacer Akash Deep got a crucial breakthrough for his team by dismissing the England National Cricket Team star batsman Harry Brook during the second Test match.
Akash Deep broke the mammoth 303-run partnership between Jamie Smith and Harry Brook by dismissing the latter on Day 3 at Edgbaston in Birmingham.

England were left struggling at 84/5 at the start of Day 3 when they lost Joe Root and Ben Stokes on back-to-back deliveries. That was when Harry Brook stepped up and led England to recovery alongside Jamie Smith.
The young wicketkeeper-batsman Jamie Smith took the responsibility to attack the Indian bowlers, and Harry Brook batted cautiously.
Brook looked in good control on a perfect batting surface and completed his century off 137 balls by cutting pacer Prasidh Krishna for four. It was the ninth Test century for the Yorkshire batter in 44 innings.
The England white-ball skipper wasn't satisfied with a ton and was looking to play a longer innings like Shubman Gill, but he was dismissed by Akash Deep in the 83rd over after battling cramps for some time.
On the second ball of the 83rd over, Akash Deep bowled a sensational delivery outside off-stump that nipped back in sharply, beat Brook's bat, and shattered the stumps.
Akash Deep was pumped up after picking up the crucial wicket, and he was patted on the back by his teammates while Brook walked off to a standing ovation from the crowd.
