Russell Crowe is looking better than ever!
The Oscar-winning actor, 61, debuted a noticeably more svelte look on day 2 of the Wimbledon Tennis Championships at the All England Lawn Tennis and Croquet Club on Tuesday. Joined by his fiancée Britney Theriot, Crowe ditched his typical scraggly beard for a dapper black suit and plaid tie with aviator sunglasses. With his gray hair slicked back and beard trimmed, the actor looked particularly healthy with his significant weight loss. Perhaps he's preparing for the couple's upcoming wedding!

There is another thing Crowe could be preparing for, however. Just last month, it was announced that the Oscar winner will join Henry Cavill in the reboot of Highlander. Crowe will play Cavill’s mentor in a variation on the part played by Sean Connery in the 1986 original film, Variety reported.
Typically one to eschew the limelight these days, Crowe did make an appearance last month at the Mediterrane Film Festival‘s Golden Bee Awards. The event was held on Malta, the island where he shot Gladiator over 20 years ago.
“If you want to know what I love about Malta, it’s everything,” said Crowe, who was given the Malta Film Legend Award, Variety reported. “26 years ago, in a funny way, I became a man in Malta,” he said, “For whatever films I had done before then, nothing had the majesty, ambition and budget and ultimately reach of ‘Gladiator.’ It wasn’t an easy production. I had to fight every day for the integrity of the character I was playing — just like the journey of the character himself in the movie. And sometimes, you get lucky enough to make something that resonates with people.”
