SAN FRANCISCO (KRON) -- One person was rescued from the San Francisco Bay Monday night behind Oracle Park during a Shakira concert, according to the San Francisco Fire Department.
Crews responded around 9:30 p.m. to the water behind the stadium at 24 Willie Mays Plaza. SFFD’s Rescue Boat 1 pulled one person from the water and moved them to Pier 40, fire officials said. The person was then transported to a local hospital in non-life-threatening condition.
The fire department said the rescue was completed in 15 minutes.
It is unclear how the person fell into the water. The fire department noted that the area was very busy as Shakira's “Las Mujeres Ya No Lloran” world tour concert was happening inside Oracle Park at the time of the rescue.
