Tangy New Powerade Flavors Finally Arrive in Stores–Heres Where

Powerade's new "extra sour" sports drink flavors are finally getting their moment to shine in the limelight.

Last year, the popular sports drink brought fans "back to the '90s" with its new tangy, tart and sour product line aptly named Powerade Xtra Sour. This summer, the brand refreshed the line with a new trio of limited-edition flavors offered at Wendy's, teasing it would eventually roll them out to stores nationwide at a later date (and with another catch).

    Now, almost a month since the pucker-worthy sips have been dispensing exclusively at Wendy's Coca-Cola Freestyle Machines, the company announced it's officially rolling out this year's Xtra Sour lineup in 28-ounce bottles–but only for a limited time.

    New to stores this month are Powerade Xtra Sour Grape Shocker, Peach Pucker and Cherry Kicker flavors.

    Powerade Xtra Sour Cherry Kicker is described as featuring a "bold and vibrant" ripe cherry flavor with a balance of tart and sweet undertones. Its new Grape Shocker flavor is said to offer an "intense and juicy burst" of grape followed by an "extreme sour twist," while the new Peach Pucker is "crisp and tangy" before being "enhanced by a mouthwatering burst of sour."

    Fans who sampled the new variety at Wendy's (or read Parade's past coverage of the release) would know that all three options were also offered in a Zero Sugar alternative, but that remains exclusive to the Coca-Cola Freestyle Machines at Wendy's (not fair, we know, but we're just the messengers...).

    The new Powerade Xtra Sour flavors are currently on shelves nationwide at most major retailers that already stock the brand or other Coke products (including CVS, Kroger, ShopRite, Stop & Shop, Walmart, Walgreens), as well as online via Amazon.

    To celebrate the launch, Powerade is asking content creators and influencers to create their own Powerade content on TikTok, "showcasing their XTRA summer self" using the #XTRASourMode hashtag for a chance to be paid by the platform and featured across the brand's social channels–go on, get your Powerade and your bag.
