Economic outlook expectations: A seasonally adjusted net 27% of businesses expect economic conditions to improve in the coming months, up from 23% in the March quarter — indicating growing optimism. Divergence between current conditions and future expectations: There remains a clear split between businesses facing current weak demand and those anticipating a pickup ahead. In the June quarter, a net 23% of firms reported a decline in their own trading activity, yet a net 18% expect demand to improve over the next quarter.---
