(KRON) – A South Bay city packed with Starbucks is getting a new popular coffee chain. Dutch Bros is set to have a Gilroy location this year.
Dutch Bros serves specialty coffee, smoothies, freezes, teas, an exclusive Dutch Bros Rebel energy drink and nitrogen-infused cold brew coffee.
The chain was started by, you guessed it, two Dutch brothers, Dane and Travis Boersma. The business began as a pushcart in downtown Grants Pass, Oregon, in 1992 and blossomed into more than 900 locations.
The city of Gilroy has seven Starbucks locations. The Dutch Bros store will be the first in Gilroy.
The location’s address will be 301 E Tenth St. The coffee shop is slated to open in the third quarter of the year.
