Mumbai: The senior Biju Janata Dal (BJD) leaders visited party President and Leader of the Opposition, Naveen Patnaik, at Kokilaben Dhirubhai Ambani Hospital in Mumbai on Wednesday, where he is currently undergoing treatment.
The BJD leaders inquired about the Naveen’s health and conveyed their heartfelt wishes for his speedy recovery.
During the visit, the senior BJD leaders, including Pranab Prakash Das, Ashok Chandra Panda, Chandrasekhar Sahu, Sanjay Kumar Das Burma, Atanu Sabyasachi Nayak, Manas Mangaraj, Sanjib Mallick, Sushant Raut, Bishwa Ranjan Mallick, Bikram Kumar Panda, and Pranab Balabantray, held a detailed discussion with Naveen Patnaik’s elder brother, Prem Patnaik, regarding his health condition. Santrupt Misra, political secretary to Naveen Patnaik, was also present during the discussion.
Speaking to the media after the visit, senior leader Sanjay Das Burma said, “With the blessings of Lord Jagannath, Shri Naveen Patnaik is recovering well and is expected to return to Odisha in the first week of July.”
In a positive sign of improvement, the BJD President was shifted from the Intensive Care Unit (ICU) to a private room today, indicating steady progress in his recovery.
