I-70 closed for fire near Glenwood Springs

Interstate 70 is closed in both directions east of Glenwood Springs on Sunday for fire activity, according to the Colorado Department of Transportation.

Additional information about the fire was not immediately available Sunday morning.

    As of 9:55 a.m. Sunday, I-70 was closed in both directions from exit 129 for Bair Ranch to exit 147 for Eagle, near Gypsum, state transportation officials said.

    It’s unknown when the road will reopen and drivers should expect delays in the area, state transportation officials said.
