It’s not Mother’s Day, but Jelly Roll’s mom, Donna DeFord, may as well have considered it just that after she received the best gift from her superstar son — a meeting with Post Malone and a signed CD to boot!
Jelly Roll and Malone have been touring together since April as part of the BIG ASS Stadium Tour. But what may surprise some folks is Jelly Roll’s mother has not yet had the chance to meet Malone—that is, until now.
A sweet and hilarious video, shared on Instagram, shows the pair enjoying the most down-to-earth exchange thanks to what appears to be an impromptu meet-and-greet arranged by the “Need a Favor” powerhouse himself.

“Will Post sign my CD?” Donna asks her son Jelly Roll, who, then, promises, “Post will sign your CD Mom, for sure. You don’t worry about that.”
Fully prepared, Donna then informs her son, “I got one, and I got my own felt pen. I’m ready.”
After Jelly Roll rolls his mother in her wheelchair to Malone, the happy momma and the “Sunflower” singer share a warm embrace. He then signs her CD, which she claims is a birthday present to herself.
But the interaction didn’t end there.
Malone asked Donna if Jelly Roll (whose real name is Jason DeFord) bought her a house, yet, to which she replied, “Yes. A nice one.”
To end the meet-and-greet on an unforgettable note, the pair, along with Jelly Roll posed for a photo with their middle fingers up in the air. Needless to say, the exchange had fans and followers sharing plenty of reactions to the post.
"That's the sweetest thing ever. Brought tears to my eyes," one follower commented below the post.
Another Instagram user wrote, "Omgee. I'm crying. He really is the best human out there."
Jelly Roll and Malone began their North American co-headlining stadium tour on April 29 in Salt Lake City. The U.S. dates of the trek are scheduled to wrap on July 1, 2025, in San Francisco.
