Having returned in the last couple of months of the season, Haaland should now be fully match fit and raring to go against these Moroccan opponents.

A match against a team classed as one of the tournament’s minnows should be the perfect opportunity for the striker to make his mark.

The former Borussia Dortmund man, who is 6/1 to be the event’s top goalscorer, scored twice in Norway’s international victories over Italy and Estonia earlier this month.

Foden needs to shine

Another player that struggled to reach his best level last season was Phil Foden, who was benched in three of City’s last six league games.

With Kevin de Bruyne moving on to Napoli, Foden could be given more responsibility to create in the final third, if he impresses in the US.

The England international registered six assists in all competitions during the 2024-25 campaign and will need to show more in this tournament to cement his place as a regular starter next term.
