ROCHESTER, N.Y. – A major cannabis wholesaler, Nabis, has opened a new distribution warehouse in Rochester this week. The 30,000-square-foot facility is located in the former Kodak plant on Lexington Avenue.
Nabis is the largest licensed cannabis wholesale company in the U.S. The facility receives products from processors, stores them, and delivers them to retailers. It also provides tech solutions like sales analytics for business partners.
On Friday, the company held a ribbon-cutting ceremony to celebrate their opening.
“It’s great, it’s really exciting,” said Will Brophy, CEO of Nabis. “It’s a long time in the making and it took a lot of people working very hard, from our team to the various regulators to, of course, all our brand partners and retail partners.”
The new distribution center is expected to create 50 new local jobs.
