ROCHESTER, N.Y. – Mayor Malik D. Evans announces the city’s first dedicated pickleball courts at Maplewood Park are now open.
Two former tennis courts at Maplewood Park have been reconstructed and converted to six pickleball courts for public use. Two existing tennis courts at the park have also been restored and refurbished.
The courts are available on a first-come, first-served basis during park hours. The park is open from 9 a.m. to 9 p.m. They will not be lighted at night.
The courts are located in an area of Maplewood Park known as “Middle Maplewood.” The area is located south of West Ridge Road and west of Lake Avenue near the eastern terminus of Seneca Parkway.
