The countdown is on to the start of the PDC World Cup of Darts 2025 where 40 nations will compete to become the global champion of the sport.

England is in a prime position to win based on the current odds, with Luke Littler and Luke Humphries defending England’s darts title from last year.

    It would be the sixth victory for the country since the tournament began in 2010.

    But there is close competition from Wales, Scotland and the Netherlands, with teams including Welshmen Jonny Clayton, who won the Dutch Darts Championship this year, and Gerwyn Price, who won the Players Championship this year. Gary Anderson and Peter Wright have teamed up to represent the third seeds, Scotland.

    All the action will take place in Frankfurt, Germany over the course of four days, beginning on Thursday 12 June and culminating on Sunday 15 June.

    PDC World Cup of Darts 2025 prize money

    There is a total prize pot of £450,000 available for the tournament this year, with teammates sharing their winnings.

    The tournament champions take home £80,000, runners-up get £50,000 to share, and all the semi-finalists get £30,000.

    This is how the prize fun is divided:

    Who are the favourites for the 2025 World Cup of Darts?

    The current favourites are defending champions England, with the dream team of Luke Littler and Luke Humphries. Odds for them to win, according to the comparison website Oddschecker, are 4/9.

    Second favourite is the Welsh team with the best odds of 11/2 to bring home the trophy.

    And in third place, at present, is Scotland with 12/1, with the Netherlands snapping at their heels with odds of 16/1.

    BetVictor, which is sponsoring the tournament, has also got England, Wales and Scotland in the top three to win on the current forecast. Their odds so far are:
