Northbound 8th Avenue (U.S. 85 Business) will close on Monday between 5th and H streets, and will remain closed through late July during Colorado Department of Transportation’s U.S. 85 concrete panel replacement project.
Drivers can still access businesses between 4th and 5th streets, and the road will remain open to JBS Food delivery vehicles, according to a release from CDOT.
The southbound lanes of the same stretch of road just recently reopened after being closed since mid-March as part of the same project.
Crews will install new pavement and asphalt shoulders, upgrade curb ramps for improved accessibility and make safety enhancements to the Cache la Poudre River Bridges, the release said.
The project is slated to finish in late October. Crew schedules will typically be from 7 a.m. to 5 p.m. weekdays, and will work weekends, as necessary, to keep the project on schedule.
Drivers will be detoured west on 5th Street to 11th Avenue, then north to H Street, according to the release.
