(KRON) – A person has died after crashing into a tree Sunday morning in Fremont, according to the California Highway Patrol.
The crash occurred at 6:30 a.m. on Interstate 880 southbound near the Decoto off-ramp.
The driver was alone. The vehicle went down an embankment and crashed into a tree.
CHP said the crash is under investigation.
The identity of the deceased will not be released until the next of kin is notified.
