Following his frustrating weekend in Barcelona, Max Verstappen blew off his steam just days later by scorching the tarmac at Salzburg Airport to celebrate the grand re-opening of Red Bull’s iconic Hanger-7.
Amid smoking doughnuts and with tyre-shredding flair, the four-time world champion went full throttle alongside MotoGP legend Dani Pedrosa, Dakar Rally beast Daniel Sanders, and NASCAR hotshot Connor Zilisch.
“It is a bit of a homecoming every time,” Verstappen said, soaking in the symphony of engines and screeching tyres.
“There is always a lot going on at Hangar-7 — helicopters, planes, cars — motorsport and sport comes together here. To do a drag race with all these different kinds of cars was very cool to witness.”
Hangar-7’s facelift celebration – a festive nod to the late Dietrich Mateschitz – was anything but subtle, with a The Flying Bulls’ airshow, live music, gourmet eats, and Red Bull athletes showing off.
Hangar-7 is back, baby!
