It’s been 17 years since Forgetting Sarah Marshall came out in theaters, but that doesn’t make Jason Segel’s full-frontal nude scene any less memorable.
Speaking with Seth Rogen during a new segment of Variety’s “Actors on Actors,” Segel, 45, recalled Harrison’s reaction to seeing him in the infamous on-screen moment.
“How did you get Harrison Ford?” Rogen, 43, asked his Freaks and Geeks co-star, referring to Ford’s role on Shrinking.

“We got Harrison Ford because Harrison Ford is the kind of person you can make an offer to so that for three days you can say, ‘We made an offer to Harrison Ford,’ and then you’ll pick the real guy,” Segel explained.
“He didn’t know anything about me so he asked, ‘Can I see some of his work?’ and they sent him—Brett Goldstein went and met with him and they had a really nice meeting—and then they sent him End of the Tour and Forgetting Sarah Marshall,” he continued.
“And apparently, Bill Lawrence got a text that said, “‘I’m in, and tell the kid, great d–k,” to which Rogen replied with his signature belly laugh and said, "[That's] all you need."
Shrinking, available to stream on Apple TV+, came out in January 2023. The comedy-drama series was created by Segel, Goldstein, 44, and Lawrence, 56.
Segel stars on the series as therapist Jimmy Laird, Ford, 82, plays Jimmy’s mentor and colleague Dr. Paul Rhoades.
Season 2 of Shrinking came out in October 2024. Although the series has been renewed for a third season, a release date hasn't been confirmed.
