DENVER (KDVR) -- More than 30,000 Xcel customers are without power Monday morning in east Denver and Aurora.
According to Xcel's outage map, 38,215 customers are experiencing a power outage as of 5:50 a.m. Monday. The number has steadily increased from 18,000 to the nearly 40,000 within an hour.
The majority of the outages are reported along Colfax Avenue and Interstate 225. Most are in Aurora, with about 1,100 in Denver.
According to the outage map, the estimated restoration times for most of the outages is 7:45-8:45 a.m.
Xcel has not released any information about what caused the outage, but FOX31 has reached out for more information.
