On Sunday, May 18, the former POTUS' personal office released a statement with the somber medical update.

“Last week, President Joe Biden was seen for a new finding of a prostate nodule after experiencing increasing urinary symptoms. On Friday, he was diagnosed with prostate cancer, characterized by a Gleason score of 9 (Grade Group 5) with metastasis to the bone,” the statement said, per NBC News.
It added: “While this represents a more aggressive form of the disease, the cancer appears to be hormone-sensitive which allows for effective management.”
Now, Biden and his family are “reviewing treatment options with his physicians." No other details about the 46th U.S. president's health or condition were shared, as of writing.
On Jan. 20, Biden left the White House after four years in office as his successor, Donald Trump, 78, was inaugurated.
