George Strait Celebrates His Past With ‘Beautiful’ Flashback Album Anniversaries

While he’s gearing up for the next date on his stadium tour with Chris Stapleton, George Strait is inviting his fans to look back at his career with a post focusing on his 1986 album, #7,and his 2013 effort, Love Is Everything, both of which are celebrating anniversaries.

“Today, we’re celebrating the anniversaries of ‘#7’ and ‘Love Is Everything.’ Which songs off these are your favorites? Let us know in the comments! ?,” reads the Instagram post, which features an animated version of the album cover with the artist’s photo moving slightly to the foreground as his name and the album’s title appear in the May 14 Instagram post that came on the anniversary of the album’s release in 1986.

    The second graphic in the carousel has Strait armed with an acoustic guitar as his name and the title Love Is Everything appear over a white background.

    #7 is Strait’s sixth studio album, his seventh effort if you include his 1985 Greatest Hits set. The album includes two country chart-topping singles “Nobody in His Right Mind Would’ve Left Her” and “It Ain’t Cool to be Crazy About You.” The album went on to achieve platinum status for sales of more than 1 million copies.

    Love Is Everything, his 28th studio album, features the No. 1 country hit “Give It All We Got Tonight.” I was certified gold for sales of 500,000 copies by the RIAA.

    Fans were happy to share their thoughts.

    “I love them all ❤️❤️❤️❤️❤️and love you too honey happy album anniversary,” wrote one.

    “So very Young ???,” wrote another, commenting on Strait’s youthful look. He was 34 when #7 was released.

    “#7 … it just runs deep into the soul and stays there for eternity ???,” wrote another.

    Strait’s tour with Stapleton next stops at Acrisure Stadium in Pittsburgh on May 31, followed by dates June 14 in Buffalo, N.Y. and June 21 in Foxborough, Mass. before wrapping up July 19 at SoFi Stadium in Los Angeles.
