The airport near Riyadh is expected to be the world’s biggest when it opens in the coming decade, Bechtel said.
Bechtel infrastructure president Darren Mort said it would “reshape Riyadh”.
With six parallel runways, the enlarged airport will be able to handle around 185 million passengers a year by 2050.
Bechtel will manage construction of a new terminal for commercial carriers, Terminal 6 for low-cost carriers, and a new private aviation terminal with hangars.
The terminals will replace all facilities of the King Khalid International Airport.
Bechtel has delivered around 300 projects in Saudi Arabia, including the recently opened Riyadh Metro.
