DENVER (KDVR) — Several lanes of westbound Interstate 70 between Tower Road and Airport Boulevard in Aurora are closed after a crash involving a semitruck.
The Aurora Police Department told FOX31 that the call came in at about 12:30 a.m. on Monday when a semitruck driver reportedly swerved to avoid sudden braking and crashed into a pole.
Police said the truck driver was taken to a local hospital with minor injuries.
The crash only involved the semitruck, police said. It is currently unclear what the truck was hauling.
SkyFOX flew over the scene where debris was scattered across the interstate.
As of 6:20 a.m., only one lane of I-70 is open as crews continue to clean up the debris and tow the semi away. Alternate routes are advised.
The investigation is ongoing.
