♬ original sound - CountryNow.comAustin — who doubles as a Sports Illustrated Swimsuit model, entrepreneur, fitness trainer and former Division I lacrosse player — asked the "I Am Not Okay" singer about his recent transformation, where Jelly Roll revealed that he recently ran a 5K. "I've also heard you're on a health journey. I'm a fitness coach, so I love it," she said, before the talented singer/songwriter delved into the details.
"I ran a 5K like four days ago. It was so awesome," he revealed. "I was proud of myself. I know this is gonna be like not a fun time for people, but I did like 46 and a half minutes, and when I did my first 5K, I walked it at a 37 minute mile. It took me like an hour and 40 something minutes to walk my first 5K. I knocked an hour off of it in a year."
For those who are unfamiliar, Jelly Roll — who once weighed more than 500lbs — made the decision to start prioritizing his health in February 2023, losing almost 200lbs since. Because of this, he has been able to perform tasks that once seemed impossible, such as hiking Camelback Mountain in Phoenix, Arizona, and now completing a 5K.
