DENVER (KDVR) -- The Happy Canyon Road bridge and part of Interstate 25 are closed near Castle Rock while there is police activity in the area.
Just before 9:30 a.m., the Douglas County Sheriff posted on X about the closure. The sheriff's office said both directions of the Happy Canyon Road bridge are currently closed.
Meanwhile, the sheriff's office said several lanes of southbound I-25 are also shut down. COtrip said two right lanes on I-25 are closed three miles north of Castle Rock, at Mile Point 186.9.
Cameras in the area show backups along the roadway. Here's what it looked like around 9:50 a.m.:
