The plight of renters – from onerous fees to poor living conditions and a lack of accountability for landlords, what are the major problems renters face in 2025 in Colorado?
Nickeled and dimed and neglected — the plight of Colorado renters.
Join Colorado Sun reporter Brian Eason for a conversation with the state Attorney General’s Office, a tenant-landlord mediator and an eviction defense attorney about the ever-evolving challenges renters face in 2025. They’ll discuss the new tactics landlords use to increase their profits, including junk fees and algorithms that experts say may violate federal anti-trust laws. They’ll also talk about the tools renters have to contest questionable charges and poor living conditions, as well as other policies that could help ensure accountability from neglectful landlords.
