A granola marketed to breastfeeding mothers is being recalled after concerns that it could be contaminated with Salmonella, according to the U.S. Food and Drug Administration.
The Hampton Grocer, Inc., a Montauk, New York-based company, is recalling certain 8-ounce packages of its Lacnola Lactation Granola after an ingredient used in the product was linked to a positive Salmonella test. The recall was announced Aug. 14.
The granola was sold nationwide through The Hampton Grocer’s website, Amazon and other online retailers between Oct. 21, 2025, and Aug. 12, 2026.

The recalled product comes in a pink, 8-ounce stand-up pouch and has UPC 850035324554.
Consumers should check the lot code and expiration date printed in black ink on the upper-left portion of the back of the package. The recalled products are:
Lot HGLC-102125 — expiration date Oct. 21, 2026 Lot HGLC-021326 — expiration date Feb. 13, 2027The potential contamination was discovered after a supplier notified the company that a product containing organic moringa powder had tested positive for Salmonella. The same ingredient is used in the recalled granola. Production has been halted while the company and FDA investigate.
What to Do If You Have the Recalled Granola
Consumers who purchased one of the affected packages are urged not to eat it and to throw it away. The FDA says customers should contact the place where they purchased the product for information about obtaining a refund.
So far, no illnesses have been reported in connection with the recalled granola, according to the recall notice.
Salmonella can cause symptoms including diarrhea, fever, nausea, vomiting and abdominal pain, and infections can be particularly serious for young children, older adults and people with weakened immune systems.
