Singer Tyla channeled her inner Britney Spears for her Coachella weekend 2 performance.
On April 18, the 23-year-old "Water" singer took inspiration fromSpears' iconic 2001 MTV VMA Awards's outfit and stepped out in a green bra top paired with low-rise jean shorts with added green fringe along the bottom.

During her VMA performance in 2001, the "Oops I Did It Again" singer took to the stage in the iconic outfit, adorned with a diamond belly ring and a yellow snake around the back of her neck while she performed "I'm a Slave 4 U.”
While Tyla left the snake out of her set this year, she instead accessorized her look with several body chains, a belly button ring and left her hair open to complete the look.
At the beginning of the performance, Tyla strutted on stage with zebra-print booties while she performed "Push 2 Start" before she switched a pair of brown knee-high boots for the rest of the set.
Unlike her weekend one set — where she brought out Becky G to perform "On My Body" — Tyla brought out WizTheMC to perform "Show Me Love (Remix)" live for the first time and brought out fans onto the stage to perform "Shake Ah."
Coachella 2025 marks Tyla's first time performing at the Indio music festival and in an interview with Vogue on April 13, she talked about creating a set that was "really high energy" with "a lot of fun and dance” that also incorporated cultural elements as well.
"I had my South African dancers. I was really excited to have family back, and to do it like old times,” she explained. “When I was younger, I used to binge-watch performances. It’s definitely a milestone that I’ve always wanted to hit. The amount of people that came to my set was really exciting and warming.”
