The former child actor was taken into police custody on April 8th, according to documents obtained by TMZ, after law enforcement received an early afternoon call about an allegedly intoxicated individual at Mammoth Mountain resort.
It's unclear what led somebody to call 9-1-1 to report Osment, but police arrived on scene to discover Osment with the ski patrol and booked him for public intoxication and possession of a controlled substance, according to the publication. The substance was not identified at the time—instead, it was sent to a lab for testing.
The actor, 37, was released shortly after his arrest. According to TMZ, it'll be up to the Mono County D.A. to decide whether or not they want to prosecute his case.
