Patnagarh: In a condemnable act, a statue of legendary leader and revered former Chief Minister Biju Patnaik was allegedly set ablaze by unidentified miscreants early this morning in Bolangir district.
The shocking incident occurred at Block Chowk in Patnagarh Notified Area Council (NAC) of Bolangir district, as per reports.
The police have launched an investigation to identify and apprehend those responsible.
The incident has been widely condemned across the state.
This is not the first instance of such vandalism.
Previously, Earlier, a statue of Biju Patnaik was beheaded in Mahanga constituency in Cuttack district.
