Police said the Bell 206 helicopter, a type widely used commercially and by governments, took off from a downtown heliport at around 3pm local time and crashed approximately 15 minutes later.

According to Escobar’s LinkedIn page, he had been with Siemens for just over 27 years, and had been global CEO of rail infrastructure since October 2024.
