LOMPOC, Calif. - The Housing Authority of Santa Barbara County, or HASBARCO, has been around for 84 years.
On Thursday, they cut the ribbon on the newest addition to their family of buildings at Cypress & 7th in Lompoc.
The vision behind HASBARCO is to hand someone a key to their apartment first, then help them stabilize and succeed further beyond that.
The 16-space building includes on-site support services including counseling and career support, as well as a community center.
