The Aims Community Lab in Greeley will host a series of events this week as part of an open house encouraging community members to explore and create in a hands-on environment.
The open house — which runs from Monday, April 7 to Friday, April 11 — will feature different events each day, as well as complimentary food and games with prizes, according to a release from the school.
The schedule of events:
• Monday: Using Circuit machines to make iron-on T-shirts.
• Tuesday: Resin keychains.
• Wednesday: 3D printing demonstration.
• Thursday: Soldering circuit boards.
• Friday: Pick any project.
The lab is at the Aims Applied Technology and Trades Center, 5015 W. 20th St. It is open 11 a.m., to 5 p.m., Monday, Wednesday and Friday, and 1 a.m., to 7 p.m., Tuesday and Thursday.
Opened in 2017, the community lab aims to be a collaborative space where students, faculty and community members can learn about design, fabrication, electronics and craftwork, according to the release.
