Berhampur: Berhampur Police took action against seven persons for allegedly organizing Danda Nacha Jatra without permission, beyond time limit and vulgar representation.
The accused persons are Seshadev Panigrahy (38) of Gandhi Nagar,1st Lane; Sameer Moharana (25) S of Gandhi Nagar,1st Lane; Debasis Majhi (25) of Gandhi Nagar,1st Lane; Saroj Kumar Gauda (29) of Gandhi Nagar,1st Lane; Bishal Panigrahi (26) of Gandhi Nagar,4th Lane; Susant Kumar Behera (24) S of Gandhi Nagar,4th Lane and Babul Bisoyi (26) of Fulta Nua Sahim , Nimakhandi.
Criminal case has been registered by the Berhampur Town Police against the accused persons for organising Danda Nacha Jatra without permission, beyond permissible time and showing vulgar dance moves.
The organisers are advised to get permission from local police station and Sub Divisional Magistrate for use of loudspeakers and stage arrangement. Use of loudspeakers is not allowed after 10 PM as per Supreme Court’s orders. Any representation of vulgar dance in stage will attract criminal case, warned Berhampur SP Dr. Saravana Vivek M.
Any violation of law will be treated strictly and criminal case will be registered against the organisers, he said.
