OLIVEHURST - An officer was shot in Olivehurst during a search warrant operation, according to the Yuba County Sheriff's Office.
At around 7:50 am Wednesday, officers from several area law enforcement agencies were on Kestrel Court executing a search warrant when one officer was shot, deputies say. It's unclear what led up to the shooting or which agency the officer represents.
The Yuba County Sheriff's Office says the officer is being treated for his injuries, and there is no threat to the public.
Deputies are asking people to avoid the area.
